What’s up--- I’m Dave Morales…..people call me “Mo”….”Dave”…..”Dave Mo”……..and some other colorful names I can’t write here…..hahahahahahaha.

I am from the GREAT CITY OF HOUSTON, TEXAS…….It is so cool to be back home..I have worked in radio at some great stations--- namely Power 106 in Los Angeles and KISS-FM in Dallas.....I have always wanted to return HOME and “rock the mic” here in H-town……..I got that chance with HOT 95-7 !!!...online at HOTHITS957.com.

I always get asked how I got into radio—here’s the “long story gone short” version—always wanted to be on the air. I used to play “radio- dj” in our living room growing up in North Houston…mom thought I was crazy…and while she was right about being crazy (I kid, I kid, I joke, I joke—get the Eminem reference?)….I just always wanted to do that job! For reals!

I love all things music—well, almost everything…..country music kinda pushes me away…have you noticed how many people say this? When I ask someone what kind of music they like, almost everyone says “Everything except country”……hahahahahaha…I fall into that category…Anyways— my favorite band (of all time) is Oasis…yup. Then followed by Johnny Cash (I know, I know—some people say he is country—I say Johnny’s music is it’s own category)…..then there is an assortment—Coldplay, The Offspring, Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, Avenged Sevenfold, Maroon 5, Kanye West and (of course) the classics from Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Dr Dre…etc etc…..Oh yeah—throw in some Frank Sinatra as well!.......really……..

I recently started a record label with my best friend—we call it GIMME MO RIFFS..we are locally based here in Houston and are excited about our first project—a local group called Skepticynic…check them out in my friends list on MySpace……..MySpace.com/hot957davemorales….The first single from our group is called “I Wanna Know Who You Are”………check it out! It’s amazing…..really.

I’m also a HUGE sports fan—my favorite teams ALL BEING FROM HOUSTON, TEXAS…Astros, Texans, Rockets and (my favorite) THE MLS CHAMPS HOUSTON DYNAMO….I have friends that play for the Dynamo and they are the best! I was at their first Championship game when they won the CUP in Dallas a few years ago…if you haven’t been to a Dynamo game yet—go!

My family ROCKS and I love ‘em all--- my mom , dad, brother, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc etc- they rock. I can’t forget my “little guy”--- and if you know me you’ve heard me talk about him non-stop…my 1 year old Brussels Griffon named Liam………you don’t have to look far to see pictures of him….he rocks…and yes, he is named after the lead singer of Oasis…
